Owned by Billie Stewart
Nugget aka Billie's Golden Nugget arrived at RSEC as a basket case in training in August. He has since become a much more relaxed citizen who enjoys being worked and has come to realize he doesn't have to stress about all things in life. He's an absolute sweetheart, a stunning boy who is owned by Billie Stewart of Monastery. Billie had always dreamed of owning a palomino and was able to fullfill this dream when we found Nugget.

Woody
Woody is a 4 year old black grade Clydesdale gelding who has 2 months of training under saddle and is green broke to harness. He stands about 16.2hh, has a sweet personality, is very willing and lazy under saddle.

Shrek
Owned by Terri, Jackie and Emma White
Shrek is a 7 year old Clyde gelding standing just under 16hh who is owned and loved by Terri, Jackie and Emma White of Whiteside, Cape Breton. Shrek has been in training with us at RSEC for the summer and has become a fantastic under saddle mount. He competed in some competitions this summer ridden by Jessie Stewart and even received some high point green horse awards at the year end banquet. A super young gelding, that just goes to show that even the drafts can strut their stuff under saddle!

Tommy
Owned by Leslie
Tommy is a 6 year old, 13.2hh pony here for training. He was purchased by his owners under the false impression that he was a well-trained sweetie of a pony, but upon his arrival at his new home and being worked, he revealed that he was a real brat that loves to buck, rear, rub you off on the wall, etc. hence the reasons for being at RSEC in what Leslie likes to call "reform school". He belongs to Leslie of Oakleaf Farm in Halifax county.

Mindy
Mindy is currently in for training, starting right from social behaviour, manners and finally to be started under saddle. Mindy is a very stunning grey 4 year old Arabian/Welsh cross pony mare that came from a herd of horses out west, with absolutely no handling or human contact until she was drug on a trailer to be brought to Nova Scotia.
She is in her second month of training and is doing great, longing with tack now, by voice command, and almost ready for a rider. Mindy is owned by Cassie Van de Wiel of Meadow Green.

Sailor
Sailor aka Mr. Navigator is a 16hh, bay, 4 year old registered Thoroughbred stallion who is also recorded with the AQHA and ApHCC. He was at RSEC for a month of training in manners and to be started under saddle in Feb-March 2010. Sailor is owned by Holly Murley.

Owain aka Northern-Cross Owain Glyndwr is a 14hh, bay sabino, 4 year old registered Welsh Section B stallion. He was at RSEC for a month of training in manners and to be started under saddle in Feb-March 2010. Owain is owned by Holly Murley.

Whiskey is a 4 year old Appaloosa pony from Fredericton, New Brunswick that was here for behavioural training and to be started under saddle in 2009. Owned by Kat Cockrine.

Vanessa
Vanessa aka Katrinedals Vanessa is a 6 year old Fjord mare that was here for training in 2009. Vanessa needed some serious ground manners as well as some re-schooling under saddle and over fences. Vanessa belongs to Monique and Annette Gingras of Antigonish.

Tarski
Tarski is a bay Standardbred gelding from the Barneys River area. He is an 11 year old off the track pacing champion who was here for re-training as a pleasure riding horse in 2009. Owned by Eva Bailey.

Chester was from Pictou county. He is a 6 year old chestnut Morgan gelding who was here for extreme behavioural training and to be started and schooled under saddle in 2009.

Beth & Maggie
Beth is a 6 year old Newfoundland pony who came to RSEC from Guysborough county with her 3 year old daughter, Maggie, in 2008 for training under saddle and for ground manners. They came with bad attitudes and no handling, and left fully started and much more pleasant to be around. Owned by Monica Deursch.

Brownie, Lorado & Shadow
Brownie is a 12.2hh, 3 year old pinto Welsh cross gelding that was here for training at RSEC in 2007. He is the very cute, very bad son of Tinkerbelle. He was here to learn manners and for under saddle training. He is owned by Shania Putnam of Great Village.
Also here at the same time was Shania's mother Carrie's horse Lorado who is a 14.3hh, 4 year old Morgan cross gelding as well as Craig's horse Shadow, a 15.3hh, 4 year old draft cross gelding. They were also here for manners and under saddle training.

Shilo
Shilo is a 4 year old Appaloosa/Quarter Horse cross mare that was at RSEC for training in 2007. She had some serious manner and behavioural issues and needed to be started under saddle. She received 3 months of training and then returned to her owner, Shania Putnam of Great Village.

Owned by Jerry & Vi Julien
April is a 15 year old Standardbred mare that stands at 15.2hh. She is a rare colour for the breed - a strawberry roan, with a beautiful Arab-like head that makes her so very beautiful. She was at RSEC for training and then boarding at different intervals over the past number of years. She is an ex-racer that we re-schooled; she was going very well under saddle after training, looking like a lovely english dressage mount. She is now mainly a pet but does the occasional trail ride. April now resides at home with her buddy Dexter and her owners Vi and Jerry Julien of Sonora.

Bassira
Bassira aka Bassira Nadeem is a 7 year old registered Anglo-Arabian mare that is owned by Wanda Richard of Cape Breton. Baz was boarded with us at RSEC for several years and went through some intense training and schooling during her stay with us. Bazzy is now back at home with Wanda, but we look forward to seeing them again soon.
